Where there is a will,
   there is YOUR United Way!

 "Thank You!"

All of us here at United Way of Yavapai County would like to extend our thanks and appreciation in making Packages for Our Troops such a success.

The "Packages for Our Troops" drive began as a result of a need to support children and empower them after their parents were deployed - multiple times. With the lack of counseling services available, the United Way of Yavapai County saw this as a way to show good Citizenship, caring and respectful behavior.

In addition this service project was integrated
into writing, art, reading and social studies. This is a sample of one of the letters written by a Granville student and inserted into the box with toiletry items and other supplies.

The end result: over 2,000 boxes with over 100,000 items, over 4,000 hand written letters and artwork sent to troops all over the world.

What started as a project to bring smiles to the faces of our Arizona Children will bring smiles to the faces for thos serving our country.

Special Thanks to these companies and dozens of others who made mailing these packages possible.
