The Volunteer Center of Yavapai County recruits willing volunteers to match with nonprofit agencies and businesses in Yavapai County. Volunteers make the difference by providing extra help, creative ideas and skills, while enhancing their lives and those of the people they serve.

West Yavapai Guidance Clinic:
   "Volunteer", Volunteer Coordinator:   seeking two special individuals to job-share a volunteer coordinator position. Working together,
    to they will create a well planned, well organized volunteer program to get the effort off the ground. Once the program is established
    the position(s) may grow into a paid opportunity to oversee the program. Possible volunteer opportunities the possition will recruit for
   and manage will include; special event planning and execution, clerical support for the clinical staff, senior peer volunteers, drivers,

    Senior Peer Volunteers: WYGC is seeking senior volunteers (55 years and older) to provide in-home "peer" support, community

Buena Vista Children's Services:
 
Assist school aged children in the Verde Valley area with homework Monday - Friday from 3:00 - 4:00pm, either one on one or in small groups on reading, homework or skill development. Assistant must be kine and patient with the children.

Prescott Area Habitat for Humanity has the following positions.
⇒ General Construction Help: building houses for lower income families in the Tri-city area. The hours are
   flexible, 8AM- 1PM; Tues, Thurs. & Sat. All abilities and skills needed.

Prescott Meals on Wheels has the following positions:
  ⇒ Kitchen server, serve & assist diners in the Congregate Dining Room and pack meals to be delivered to the 
    home bound

Make A Wish Foundation has the following positions
  ⇒ Administrative, filing, computer, research, e-mailing, phone calls. Skills needed, clerical and computer

United Way of Yavapai County has the following positions
  ⇒ Clerical, covering various areas such as, computer input, filing, organizing campaign literature, assisting 
     in bulk mailings to name a few. Some computer skills helpful.   NEW!

  ⇒ Special events, every year we put on many events such as golf tournaments, open house, recognition
     events, Days of Caring, and many more. If you like greeting and mingling with people, helping to set
     up and tear down for the events, taking reservation information and having fun with people, this may

  ⇒ Allocation Volunteers, Have you ever wondered how United Way decides what service agencies get
     funded in our areas? If the answer is yes, then consider being an allocations volunteer. Our volunteers visit,
     review and gain knowledge of each agency, then the panels meet an make recommendations on organizations
     they feel should be funded. Allocation Volunteers play a big roll in this process.
